Are there out-dated teachings in the Bible?

The case needs to be made by the opponents of traditional Christian Belief in the Bible. These make assumptions they are not prepared to defend.

Take the following,

Here is the full quote;

“I think “good christianity” has had a really hard time the last 2-3 years (Trump, covid). In the past, most people saw christinaity as “good christianity” = following the good teachings from the bible but rejecting the out of date teachings. People’s view of chritianity is now defined by conspiracy theories, anti vac, new world order and black/white views on difficult issues like abortion and end of life. [sic]

Traditional Christian belief regards the Bible as the inspired Word of God. It therefore cannot err in what it teaches, and what it teaches remains true in all ages.

The person wishing to claim the Bible’s teaching is in someway out-dated faces the above problems. (A) is a problem of exegesis and hermeneutics. To discover what the Bible actually teaches requires some reading (at the least), and some scholarly, sometimes difficult, research. It’s not good enough to just assume you know the Bible teaches p, without well-informed prior knowledge. (B) faces a significant problem of authority – why should we regard Twenty-first century morality in the west correct, and not some other time and place? Like, for instance, the time and place God revealed his Word.

Long ago, at many times and in many ways, God spoke to our fathers by the prophets, but in these last days he has spoken to us by his Son, whom he appointed the heir of all things, through whom also he created the world.

Hebrews 1:1-2
